Smoked Turkey & Asiago Sandwich with a Tropical Relish
There is something about summer that insists on sandwiches. Ours bursts with tangy and sweet flavors, bright colors, and crunchy – smooth textures. Chutney, similar to relish or salsa, originated in India. We’ve added minced mango, pinapple, and kiwi to give it a tropical twist, and turn it into fresh relish. The fruity, nutty taste of the Asiago both contrasts and complements the relish.

  • ¼ cup mango chutney
  • ¼ cup mango, minced
  • ¼ cup pineapple, minced
  • 1 large kiwi, minced
  • 2 tbsp. red onion, minced
  • ½ tsp. whole grain mustard
  • ¼ tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • ⅛ tsp. celery seed
  • 12 whole grain rolls (split)
  • 12 oz. smoked turkey, sliced
  • ½ oz. baby arugula (2 cups)
  • 6 oz Il Villaggio Asiago D’Allevo Cheese, thinly sliced

  1. In a small bowl, combine chutney, mango, pineapple, kiwi, red onion, red pepper, mustard, vinegar and celery seed. Set aside.
  2. Top bottom half of toll with turkey, arugula, then cheese. Evenly divide and spread the relish on top of cheese. Top with half of roll. Serve.
  3. Purchase chilled, cored pineapple from your produce section to save on prep time.
